Deployment Recap

Emotional: Pretty pissy this week, negative. Little things annoying me… oh HEY that sounds like PMS! alrighty then, fun times.

Physical: hmmmm I need to lose some weight. I hear it screaming at me. lol that’s pretty much it. i’m a little darker than my usual so-white-i-sparkle coloring. Being in texas really helped with that.

Communication: God bless skype. We had several days in there that we were able to talk over skype. The kids got to talk with him, but they’re so used to talking with family via skype it wasn’t such a huge deal to talk to daddy as it was on the first day. In fact they ended up going outside to play, or playing on the floor with their trains. lol Like I said before, daddy being gone is just a fact of life for them. Can’t remember if I said this before, but we have videos of nate reading to them. Roan was sitting there thinking daddy was on skype saying “daddy… you readin’ me a book??”

What's something fun you did this week: Went tubing with the family down the river here in town. That’s always a favorite of mine. The kids really enjoyed it. Willem ended up passing out, as did Trillian. There are several points you can choose to get out as, but we picked the one with the waterfall chutes at the end. lol

We did swim lessons with the boys, and library events like story time in the morning and making a father’s day craft. Nate now has 3 sun catchers waiting for him. I also reserved the new iphone since my phone contract will be running out soon. And set up my tattoo appointment for this wednesday!

What are you looking forward to next week: iphone and tattoo! lol

What made you happy this week: I got to visit with another highschool friend of mine, and her son. They were down for a few days visiting her family. We grilled fajita meat and laughed about old times.

Not to mention my husband bought me my early birthday present. A bible from Jerusalem, that has a vial of dirt from the holy land in the cover. The cover is made of olive wood. He took it to the Church of the Sepulchre, set it on the stone were Jesus was laid after his crucifixion, and prayed over it. MY HUSBAND, the agnostic. He’s also been wearing a rosary. He said these are his steps toward faith. I don’t know what created the sudden change, but I’m embracing it and rejoicing. God is good. I pray that he continues his walk. You can’t make a person have or find faith, only God can woo. So woo on Lord!

What made you sad/mad this week: hormones. lol nothing in particular. my sister frustrates me because since her breakup she just hides in her room. You’d think we’d hang out more. but whatever.

What do you miss this week: hmmmmm nothing I can think of.

How are the kids this week: They’re pretty awesome. They played with a “new friend” yesterday who was around their age and had fun with him. They really enjoy reading time at the library, and we entered a contest for most minutes of reading at the end of the summer.

Pictures from this week: They’re all on my mom’s camera, which my brother currently has… So you’re left with this. Fuzzy because he was moving.
